Data Deletion Instructions

BuyCar24 respects your rights under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Meta's data deletion requirements. You may request deletion of your personal data and account at any time. This page explains how.

1. Data We Collect

When you use BuyCar24, we may collect the following:

• Email, hashed password, full name, phone number
• Car listings, photos, and seller/dealer profile data
• If you sign in with Facebook: your Facebook user ID, linked email, and name supplied by Facebook
• Website usage data

2. How to Request Deletion

There are two ways to delete your data from BuyCar24:

Option 1: Delete your account from your dashboard (recommended)

1. Sign in at https://buycar24.com
2. Navigate to Dashboard → Profile
3. Scroll to the “Delete Account” section and follow the steps

Once deleted, your personal data, car listings, and photos will be removed within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g. tax records, kept for 5 years).

Option 2: Email us a deletion request

Send an email to:

Please include in your email:

• Subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
• The email address associated with your BuyCar24 account
• If you signed in via Facebook: please mention this

We will process your request within 30 days and email you a confirmation once your data has been deleted.

3. Disconnecting Facebook Login

If you signed into BuyCar24 with Facebook and want to revoke Facebook's access to your data:

1. Go to Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites
2. Find “BuyCar24” in the list
3. Click “Remove” to disconnect

Removing the Facebook connection prevents BuyCar24 from accessing your Facebook data in the future, but does not automatically delete your BuyCar24 account — to delete the account, please use Option 1 or 2 above.

4. Data Retained After Deletion

Some data may be retained as required by law — for example, transaction and payment records under Thailand's Revenue Code (5 years), or records required for fraud prevention. This data is automatically purged once the retention period expires.
